Last November 12 in Barcelona we enjoyed the second edition of Meet Commerce Spain, established as one of the main events of the year for the B2B eCommerce events in Spain. 

More than 30 experts and 250 attendees came to the Fábrica Moritz to share, discuss and learn about the evolution of B2B commerce in the digital era.

A Day of Insights & Connections

Throughout the day, there were talks, panels and workshops that addressed the most relevant topics in B2B commerce, with a special focus on digital transformation. Attendees had the opportunity to dive into key eCommerce insights on process automation, artificial intelligence applied to B2B commerce, loyalty strategies and the selection of the best eCommerce platforms for this sector, as well as internationalization strategies and payment platforms.

B2B Transformation: Talks, Panels & Workshops

Talks

During the talks, the speakers addressed key topics such as B2B omnichannel management, drivers and barriers to its development, and presented results of a global study of more than 350 companies. B2C strategies applied to B2B were also explored, such as the case of TRES Grifería, which transformed its business model with personalization, segmentation and loyalty tactics, obtaining great results. In addition, the future of B2B on Shopify was discussed, highlighting how this platform has accelerated the adoption and transformation of B2B companies.

In terms of operational efficiency, it delved into how unifying fragmentation of processes and systems can unlock the potential of B2B, and how platforms like Magento Open Source and BigCommerce are helping companies like DVD Dental optimize their operations and improve the customer experience. The event provided a holistic view of how technology, platform integration and innovation are critical to the success of B2B commerce.

Panels

The panels were the perfect format to give voice to the different experts who participated. Through the great work of the moderators, the panelists discussed such noteworthy aspects as the levers to internationalize a B2B business, with the participation of experts from Alibaba, ICEX, and Channable, among others. Innovations in B2B payments were also addressed, highlighting solutions from companies such as Monei and MultiSafepay, with a focus on optimizing payment processes.

In terms of B2B implementation, key lessons were shared to overcome common obstacles in digital transformation, with experiences from Factor Libre and Fersa. In addition, the use of AI to improve efficiency in B2B commerce was discussed, and how Oct8ne and Seidor are leading the way in optimizing customer service, not to mention the challenges of cybersecurity in B2B.

Finally, the best B2B eCommerce platforms were discussed, with representatives from CSengine, LogiCommerce and BigCommerce offering insights into which platform is right for each business.

Workshops

With the workshops, our experts provided valuable practical insights on how to optimize B2B sales and customer experience through technology. Reskyt showed how mobile apps can drive B2B sales, while We Are Marketing highlighted the latest eCommerce trends in marketing automation for B2B and how to improve e-commerce performance. 

In the area of artificial intelligence, Leadclic presented how AI can transform the relationship between brands and B2B customers, optimizing personalization. In addition, ROI UP addressed composable architecture with Sitecore Order Cloud, highlighting how this flexible solution improves order management and the integration of multiple domains, languages and countries.

Finally, Transformance delved into how to build a Martech stack tailored to today’s B2B buyer, focusing on the organization and definition of technologies to improve sales.

They all provided not only key strategies, but also practical tools to accelerate digitization and innovation in B2B commerce.

Beerworking 

Outside the rooms where we were discovering how digitalization, innovation and collaboration with technology partners are essential for growth and efficiency in B2B commerce, attendees and sponsors flowed in the networking area. A place to connect with potential customers and strategic partners, enlivened at all times by the cuisine and beer of Fábrica Moritz.

At the end of the event, we enjoyed an after party with live music and saxophone. The perfect cherry on top of a day full of ideas, connections and shared experiences.

Meet Commerce Spain 2024 left us with valuable lessons about the future of B2B commerce, from the importance of having flexible and scalable platforms to the need to adopt digital strategies that optimize not only the sale, but the entire business value chain.
